About Bumble Bees Swim School

Bumble Bees Swim School is currently owned by Simone and Glenn Ziarno

All our staff are fully qualified swim teachers who hold Swimming New Zealand and/or Austswim qualifications as well as intensive and ongoing in house training.  Many of our teachers hold degrees in education or physical education, whilst others are currently studying towards teaching degrees. 

We pride ourselves on our friendly, dedicated and professional teachers who strive to ensure children reach their potential in a fun filled and positive environment.

Simone Ziarno

Simone has a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and is currently studying towards her Level Four in Aquatics. Simone has owned Bumble Bees Swim School since 2021 and was previously employed by Bumble Bees since 2008. She has a passion for the outdoors and enjoying what our beautiful country has to offer. The families and swimmers are what drives Simone to enjoy her work and watch the progression of the children that are taught at Bumble Bees into confident and competent swimmers.

Glenn Ziarno

Glenn is a Licensed Building Practioner and has worked in the building industry since leaving school. He has a passion for building and enjoys the end result of a finished and crafted product. He is now an owner of Bumble Bees Swim School 2021 Ltd and has become the pool boy and maintenance man as well as working full time building for his own company, Glenn Ziarno Builder Ltd.
