Children's Swimming Lessons
All teaching at MAC’s is done from the poolside (i.e. no teacher in the water) so children need to be ready for that challenge. Swimmer are ready for the MAC's programme once they have learned backstroke, freestyle with breathing, and have begun work on breaststroke. If you are unsure whether your child qualifies, please contact us to arrange a free assessment.
We have three levels that run across the pool during each half hour session. Children can progress through the levels without changing class times, subject to availability.
Our Levels are Foundation, Level 1, 2 and 3

Information and Conditions
Catch up / Holiday policy
We do not offer catch ups for missed lessons OR reduce fee costs due to families going away on holiday. We run with the school terms so have 10 weeks of operation and 2 weeks of close down where we run Holiday Programs for those interested.
Cancellation Policy
We do not refund any lessons which may be cancelled after the beginning of term. We are happy to hold credits in our system for future lessons if cancellations made after the beginning of term are for medical reasons, such as broken bones, grommets, or other serious medical issues which means the swimmer will miss a significant amount of lessons during the term. A medical certificate may be required. Please be aware of this policy when making bookings.
Having recently moved to MACs from another swim school, I can’t sing their praises enough. From the level of understanding shown during the initial swimming assessment to make sure the kids were placed in the right class, through to the care and attention they received when they arrived for their first lesson. My daughter has blossomed in only a few weeks. She had lost the passion for her favourite sport and now she can’t wait to get to her lesson so that Lewis can provide feedback and encourage her to achieve her best. My son is not a confident swimmer and in his first lesson with Angela he was jumping in the deep end, something he hasn’t had the courage to do before. Thank you, MACs, we are so happy we made the change!
